punjabi style sarson ka saag

how to make dhaba style sarson ka saag at home

serves - 5


Ingredients.

1. mustard(sarson) leaves - 500 gm

2. spinach(palak) leaves - 250 gm

3. bathua  - 200 gm
( note - boil all three types leaves and make smooth paste)

4. garlic cloves - 1 bunch

5. chopped green chillies - 5

6. sliced ginger - 2 tablespoon

7.red chilli powder - 1/2 tablespoon

8. turmeric powder - 1 tablespoon

9. coriander powder - 1/2 tablespoon

10. garam masala - 1/2 tablespoon

11. mustard oil - 3 big tablespoon


FOR TADKA

1. dry red chilli - 4

2. cumin seeds - 1/2 tablespoon

3. aseoftida (hing) - 1 pinch


Directions.

1. heat the wok and add oil in it

2. add garlic cloves,green chilli and ginger and saute for 3 mins

3. now add all spices 

4. now add smooth paste of all leaves nd mix it well

5. now add 2 glass water and cook for 10 min on medium flame

6. cook until it thickens

7. when it cooked keep aside 

8. now take pan and add 1 big tablespoon oil and heat it

9. now add cumin seeds,dry red chilli,and hing and pour in cooked saag
