navratri special foxnut( makhana ) kheer recipe
Foxnut( makhana ) kheer for fast
this indian dessert for fast(vrat),its taste is really good. I make this kheer in every navratri fast( vrat).
prep.time - 5 mins.
cook time - 20 mins.
serves - 3
Ingredients.
1. foxnuts(makhana) - 250 gm
( roasted in clarified butter- desi ghee)
( grind the half foxnuts n remain as whole)
2. finely chopped cashews - 10
3. finely chopped almonds - 10
4. finely chopped pistachio - 10
5. rose petals
6. milk - 1 litre
7. sugar - 1 and 1/2 tea cup
8. keep some chopped almonds,cashews,pistachios for garnishing
Directions.
1. Heat the pan and add milk in it
2. Boil milk for 5 mins. after that add half grinded foxnuts and stir continuosly till it thickens on medium flame
3. Now add remained whole foxnuts,almonds,cashews,pistachio,sugar n saute it for 2 mins.
4. when it cooked then switch off the flame
5. Now you garnish the kheer with rose petals n chopped almond,cashews,nd pistachio
your navratri special dish is ready to serve.....
